Ensuring Election Integrity Act

Requires that all new voter registration applicants have their U.S. citizenship verified. It provides a window for those undergoing verification to vote while verification is not completed, with penalties should the individual be found to have lied about citizenship status and or voted.

Federal law already prohibits illegal aliens from voting in federal elections. This legislation additionally prohibits illegal aliens from voting in local and state elections in Montana.
