This bill provides procedures for residents to seek declaratory judgments when a local governing body has violated the prohibition on immigration sanctuary policies. It also provides for actions in the superior court and for notification and publication of such judgments. Governing bodies found to be in violation of such prohibition shall lose their eligibility for certain state and federal funds. Further, the bill authorizes the removal of such judgments and penalties when a local governing body rescinds prohibited sanctuary policies. It also waives sovereign and governmental immunities for local governments and their officials and employees for violating the prohibition on immigration sanctuary policies.
