Any entity that adopts policies violating this legislation risks losing state funding. Under this bill, the attorney general would be authorized to provide legal defense for any entity or agency facing litigation due to their good-faith efforts to comply with these new regulations.

West Virginia Immigration Enforcement Act

This legislation toughens human trafficking laws regarding illegal aliens and ensures that bringing illegal aliens into the state of West Virginia is correctly categorized as human trafficking.

Cracking down on Illegal Alien Human Trafficking Act

This bill aims to require employers in the state to use the federal E-Verify system to confirm the identity and legal work status of their employees. Some exceptions are made for the relationship between a party and an independent contractor, casual domestic labor, and individual homeowners hiring workers on their private property.
